Burlington Paid Leave & Pints Celebration!

Vermont Paid Leave CelebrationThe Celebrating Paid Leave in Vermont passing in the Vermont House event on November 8th was a great success. The speakers – Speaker Krowinski, Senator Ram Hinsdale, Sascha Mayer of Mamava, and Deputy Treasurer Gavin Boyles – were all fantastic. Gavin said the Treasurer’s Office determined the costs of the program to be “workable and manageable,” which was followed by a big cheer from the crowd.

There was a full room with 60 attendees and a notably broad age range, which was great to see. This is the year to move bill forward and pass it in the Vermont Senate.
